The Way We Work

Four things guide everything we do.

The same, whether a stable holds one horse or three hundred.

01

The Horses

We were raised in this game and built our lives around these animals. A horse in our care is never just a line on a balance sheet — it gets the right trainer, the right program, and the right plan, at every stage of its life.

02

Discipline

Thousands of horses pass through the sales every year. We sign for the few that pass every test — most don't, and we're comfortable saying no.

03

Accountability

One team, start to finish. The person who signs for your horse is the person who answers for it — you'll hear bad news as fast as good news, and the reasoning behind every recommendation before a dollar moves. No handoffs, no committee to hide behind.

04

Your Goals

Everything starts with what you want from the sport — racing, breeding, selling, or all three. We build the plan around your goals and measure ourselves against them, nothing else.

Questions

Asked, and answered straight.

I'm new to ownership. Where do we start?

Gladly — some of our favorite relationships started with someone's first horse. We begin with a conversation about what you want from the sport, racing, breeding, or both. Experience isn't required; we'll help you learn the game as we go.

What does full-service actually include?

The whole arc of an equine portfolio: mating plans, auction selection and private purchases, pinhooking, trainer placement, racing and partnership management, stallion seasons and shares, insurance, appraisals, and sales strategy. One team, accountable from start to finish.

How will I stay informed about my horses?

You'll hear from us regularly and directly — reports, video, and the reasoning behind every plan and entry. Silence is not one of our services.

How involved will I be in decisions?

As involved as you want to be. Every recommendation comes with its reasoning, and nothing happens without your sign-off. Some clients want the full debate; some want one call a month. We work both ways.

Where do you operate?

We're based in Lexington, Kentucky, and work the major North American sales, with horses in training at America's top tracks and runners in Europe and Australia. When the right horse isn't at auction, we source privately, at home or abroad.
